Which mobile is best for Instagram Reels?

This answer might sound a bit controversial but here's my personal experience and suggestion:

I own both, an android and an iphone and have experimented quite a bit to decide which phone is the best.

Here are my observations:

  1. Uploading a reel/video/story shot and posted from my OnePLus phone always makes the quality deteriorate a little and the texts added in reels relocate after I publish the video. Text is glitchy sometimes. Video, always.

  2. Creating and publishing a video (reel or story) from my iPhone maintains the quality of video after publishing too. I rarely find glitch in my texts. Overall experience is much better than uploading and creating via my oneplus phone.

  3. Surprisingly, posting a video created from OnePlus BUT uploading it from iPhone kept the original quality! I wonder if Instagram has some issue with One Plus or android phones in general.

See the difference in quality from these videos I posted on Instagram:

1. This one was created and uploaded via iPhone.

2. This one was created and uploaded via OnePlus

3. This one was created on OnePlus but posted from iPhone

Answer?

You guessed it right. Uploading content via an iPhone ensures that the content you post is of the best quality.

What if I don't have an iphone?

I have always been an android fan and I still love the features on my android over my iphone but being a content creator, I have to make sure that the content I upload on Instagram is of good quality and I was receiving many comments from my followers that although the video content was good, the quality of video made them skip it or not watch it till the end.

This was obviously a bad sign for me as all my efforts in creating content was going in vain.

I then tried uploading my content from my mother's iphone and instantly saw the change in quality and interestingly people started watching it more!

Seeing this ( and the injust partiality of Instagram for iphones over android) I decided to get myself an iPhone.

It was a big investment but it did help me create quality reels and hence got more exposure and views!

So, should you buy an iphone? Well, I can't decide that for you (and neither Apple is paying me to promote them :p ) but you can try this for yourself and then decide what suits better for you. I know this is not the ideal choice but Instagram is leaving us with no other choice.

If you have an android phone (apart from One Plus) then do let me know if the quality of your video remains same after uploading or not. Would love to know your observations!
